Announcing the very first Lowbright contest!
Lowbright Look-A-Like Contest

Here's the lowdown!
Enter a picture of someone who you think closely resembles a Lowbright character. It can be anyone -- a friend, a co-worker, your evil ex, someone you see walking in the street, or, of course, yourself. Dressing up is allowed, so go crazy with the wigs if you must. All characters in any of the Lowbright stories are game(including Half Empty), so if you spot someone that looks like Oliver Pikk, bust out the camera quick!! (Actually, say a prayer for that sad sad soul, THEN bust out the camera!) One restriction: No celebrities please.

This is Richard's friend Tony, whom he thinks resembles a character from Half Empty. If you can, please enter both the picture of the person and the character that he/she/it looks like.

Deadline: January 19, 2003
THE DEADLINE HAS PASSED! NO MORE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED!!

Here's how we'll decide the winners: I'll put up the entries as they come in but as soon as the deadline is over, no more entries will be accepted, and everyone will have a week to vote for their favorite look-a-like. There will be an online poll set up and the person with the most votes at the end of the week will win!

Send all entries to (email removed). You can either send attachments or upload the picture onto a server and send me a link. A link is always preferred of course, and please try to keep the size of the attachments as small as possible without losing clarity. Only one entry per person please. Thank you.

Prizes:

First place winner will recieve an original illustration of Nancy and Simon, a copy of Same Difference and Other Stories (not the little zine version, but the real book slated to be published in June), Lowbright stickers and 1-inch buttons! Oh, and a SPORK!!

Second place winner will recieve everything mentioned above minus the original illustration and spork(no tears now.)

Three runner-ups will recieve copies of Same Difference and Other Stories.
